Hi! I'm Tom Kessler, a guitarist and music teacher based in Berlin.
My passion is helping students discover their unique musical voice.
For five years, I served as a professor in the Jazz and Pop program at UNICACH in Mexico. I am an active musician, performing and recording with various projects in a variety of styles. After 20 + years of teaching experience, I have discovered that the best learning happens intuitively. My role is to help you listen to your inner musicality and let it guide your path.
Whether your interests lie in improvisation, composition, ear training, or learning styles like jazz, blues, or Latin American music, I create a personalized plan for you. Together, we'll build technique, theory, and creativity in a way that feels natural, and you'll have the chance to share your music in recitals and connect with a community through monthly jam sessions.
I teach in-person in Berlin, Germany and online via Zoom. Se habla español.

Meine Leidenschaft ist es, Schülern zu helfen, ihre einzigartige musikalische Stimme zu entdecken.
Fünf Jahre lang war ich Professor im Jazz- und Pop-Programm an der UNICACH in Mexiko, nach meinem Jazzstudium an der University of North Texas. Ich bin aktiver Musiker und trete mit verschiedenen Projekten in verschiedenen Stilen auf und nehme auf. Nach über 20 Jahren Unterricht habe ich festgestellt, dass das beste Lernen intuitiv geschieht. Meine Aufgabe ist es, Ihnen zu helfen, auf Ihre innere Musikalität zu hören und sich von ihr leiten zu lassen.
Egal, ob Ihre Interessen bei Improvisation, Komposition, Gehörbildung oder dem Erlernen von Stilen wie Jazz, Blues oder lateinamerikanischer Musik liegen, ich erstelle einen persönlichen Plan für Sie. Gemeinsam bauen wir Technik, Theorie und Kreativität auf eine Weise auf, die sich natürlich anfühlt, und Sie haben die Möglichkeit, Ihre Musik bei Vorspielen zu teilen und sich durch monatliche Jam-Sessions mit einer Gemeinschaft zu verbinden.
